Parenting Gifted Children Strategies for Success at IAGC Silver Anniversary Conference

Today, I had another colleague who I’ve known for 7 years ask me about resources for parents of gifted kids. And I’m sure there are many who are unaware that there is training on counseling gifted, evidence based training with certifications in teaching parenting strategies that work, and neuropsychological and neurological research that helps practitioners provide training and resources for parents, children and adults of the gifted population. I’m thrilled that parents of intense and asynchronous kids are beginning to ask about giftedness, overcome the misconceptions about the term-gifted, given that Leta Hollingworth coined the term and population in 1926 With research that continues to accurately define the population today, and that Encouragement Parenting is a combination of all of the above.

Tomorrow I excited to share Strategies for Success with the Parents at the Silver Anniversary of the Illinois Association for Gifted Children’s Conference in Naperville Illinois, combining neuropsychology, training in counseling gifted, certifications in 2 evidence-based and backed parent training systems, research in the social and emotional needs of gifted children, 25 years experience in mental health and 8 years hands-on experience teaching, guiding, and training gifted parents, kids, and adults in my private practice.
